1. Acceptance of these terms
The website rupantaram.com and the Rupantarm app are provided by Rupantaram ("we", "us", "our"), a life-skills and personality transformation academy based in Karjat, Maharashtra, India. By using the website, registering for a program, paying a fee, or downloading, signing in to or using the app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, to our Privacy Policy and to our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the website or the app.
If you accept these terms on behalf of a minor as their parent or legal guardian, you accept them for yourself and for that minor, and you are responsible for their use of the app.
2. Our services
Rupantaram conducts in-person life-skills and personality transformation programs for children, teenagers, young adults and parents at its centres in Karjat, Alibaug, Pen and Lonavala. The programs, their duration and what each includes are described on the Programs page. The website lets you learn about the programs, register for a batch and pay the program fee online.
Rupantarm is a companion app for students enrolled in our programs and for their parents or guardians. Depending on your role, it provides access to the timetable and calendar, attendance, activities, worksheets, challenges, habits and goals, journal and reflection entries, self-assessments, progress and weekly reports, report cards, certificates and ID cards, fee and invoice records, notices, notifications, and messaging with the academy.
The app is an administrative and learning-support tool. It is not a medical, psychiatric, psychological, diagnostic or emergency service, and nothing in it is professional medical or mental-health advice. In an emergency, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.
3. Eligibility, minors and guardians
- An account may only be created by a person enrolled with us, or by that person's parent or legal guardian.
- Accounts for users below the age of digital consent under Indian law require verifiable parental or guardian consent. Until that consent is recorded, access to the account is blocked.
- A guardian linked to a student account may view and manage that student's records and may exercise all rights under these terms and the Privacy Policy on the student's behalf.
- You must give accurate information, including the correct date of birth. We may suspend accounts created with false information.
4. Accounts and OTP sign-in
- Sign-in uses a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number. Keep that number and device secure and never share an OTP with anyone, including people claiming to be our staff.
- You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
- Tell us immediately at info@rupantaram.com if you lose your device, change your mobile number, or suspect unauthorised access.
- One account per person. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.
5. Enrolment, batches and programs
- Access to program content in the app depends on an active enrolment. Batch dates, venues, seat availability, session length and program structure are decided by the academy and may change.
- We may reschedule, relocate or cancel a session for reasons including low enrolment, trainer unavailability, weather, or circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you and offer a replacement session where reasonably possible.
- Attendance, progress and assessment entries are recorded by our staff. If you believe an entry is wrong, tell us and we will review and correct it if the record is inaccurate.
- Programs are services delivered in person at our centres on the batch dates. No physical goods are shipped, so no shipping or delivery charges apply. After registration and payment you receive a confirmation by SMS, WhatsApp or email with the batch, venue and reporting details.
- Program outcomes depend on participation and individual circumstances. We do not guarantee any specific result, score, admission or behavioural change.
6. Fees, payments and refunds
- All fees are in Indian Rupees (INR). The fee for your program, batch and centre is shown before you pay; due dates and any instalment plan are communicated at enrolment and shown in the app under invoices and payments.
- The app itself is free to download. Fees shown in the app relate to academy programs, not to app features.
- Online payments are processed through the HDFC Bank payment gateway, using the cards, net banking, UPI and other modes the gateway offers. Payment details are entered on the bank's secure page and payment is subject to the bank's terms; we receive only the transaction reference and status and never store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking password.
- A payment is complete only when the gateway confirms it as successful. You then receive a receipt; keep the transaction reference for any query.
- Fee records shown in the app are for convenience. If an app entry conflicts with our official accounting records, the official records prevail.
- For the 11 Days program, ₹5,000 is paid as a booking amount at registration. The rest of the fee is collected at the centre on the day of arrival.
- Refunds only in a medical emergency. All fees paid, including a booking amount, are final and non-refundable, including on cancellation, non-attendance or partial attendance. The only exception is a medical emergency: in that case the booking amount or the amount paid is refunded. If we reschedule or cancel a batch, the fee is carried forward to the rescheduled or next available batch of the same program. The full terms are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
- If an amount is debited but the payment fails, it is reversed automatically by your bank or the gateway to the original payment method, normally within 5–7 working days. A duplicate payment for the same registration is returned to the original payment method within 7–10 working days after verification.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable law;
- impersonate another person, or create an account for someone without their (or their guardian's) authority;
- upload or send content that is abusive, obscene, hateful, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit, or harmful to a child;
- share another student's personal information, photographs, reports or messages outside the app without consent;
- copy, record, resell, redistribute or publish our program material, worksheets, videos or reports;
- attempt to access another user's account or any part of our systems you are not authorised to use;
- probe, scan, reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, or interfere with the app, our servers or their security, except to the limited extent that such restriction is prohibited by law;
- use bots, scrapers or automated tools against the app, or send it excessive requests;
- upload malware, or anything designed to disrupt the service.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of the photographs, documents, journal entries, messages and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and process Your Content solely to operate the app and deliver the program to you and, where applicable, to your linked guardian or student.
You confirm that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law. We do not use Your Content for marketing or publicity without separate written consent.
Please keep your own copies of anything important. We are not a backup service for your files.
9. Our intellectual property
The app, its design, code, text, graphics, logos, the names "Rupantaram", "रूपांतरम्", "Rupantaram" and "Rupantarm", and all program material, curricula, worksheets, videos and reports are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual-property law.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own or your child's enrolment. Nothing else is granted. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, sell, sublicense or create derivative works from our material without our written permission. Program material downloaded through the app is for the enrolled student's personal use only.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal information — what we collect, why, who we share it with, your rights and how to delete your account — is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Third-party services
The website and app rely on third-party services including the Google Play Store, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications, MSG91 for OTP delivery, and the HDFC Bank payment gateway for online fee payment. Their availability and performance are outside our control, and their own terms apply to their services. We are not responsible for outages, delays or failures caused by them or by your network operator or device.
12. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep the app available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change, suspend or remove features, run maintenance, or discontinue the app. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable notice in the app where practical. You may need to install updates for the app to keep working; we support recent Android versions from Android 7.0 (API 24) upward.
13. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the app at any time, and may delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if your enrolment ends, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your use harms other users, our staff or our systems.
- Where the breach is minor and can be fixed, we will normally warn you first.
- Termination does not affect fees already due, nor accrued rights of either party. Sections 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 and 17 survive termination.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements, that notifications will always be delivered on time, or that data displayed will be free of clerical error.
Nothing in these terms excludes any right or remedy you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or connected with your use of the app.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the app in any twelve-month period is limited to the total program fees you paid to us in that period, or ₹5,000, whichever is higher. This limit does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us, our trainers and staff harmless against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the app, or content you submit that infringes the rights of a third party.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts at Karjat, Raigad District, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Before starting proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter — most issues are settled quickly by a phone call or email. Consumers retain any right to approach the consumer forums available to them under Indian law.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app or the law changes. The "Last updated" date will change and, for material changes, we will notify you in the app or by notification before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after the change means you accept the updated terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the app and delete your account.
