Residential Personality Development Classes near Mumbai
A 4-day residential personality development program for kids, teenagers and young adults at Pen and Alibag, two to three hours from Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai.
Mumbai has many personality development classes: weekly batches in Andheri, Dadar, Borivali, Thane and Vashi, and plenty of online sessions. Most teach presentation, spoken English and grooming, an hour or two at a time.
Rupantaram works the other way round. Your child leaves the city for four nights and lives with a batch of up to 50 and a team of 10 mentors at Pen or Alibag. No tuition schedule, no commute, and far less screen time than at home. The days are spent on activities that build confidence, discipline, emotional balance and direction, and parents join on Day 4.

To Pen: the Atal Setu or the Sion–Panvel highway to Panvel, then the Mumbai–Goa highway. Roughly 80 km, about two hours. To the Alibag centre: the ferry from the Gateway of India or the Ro-Ro from Bhaucha Dhakka to Mandwa, then by road through Alibag town to Nagaon. Alibag address and route.

Through Shilphata or the Thane–Belapur road to Panvel, then Pen. Roughly 75 km from Thane.
From Navi Mumbai and Panvel

For parents: a one-day workshop
Parenting 360° is a one-day (4-hour) workshop on child psychology, communication, emotional bonding, positive parenting and digital parenting. It runs at both centres on dates close to the 4-day batches, single or as a couple, food included.

Questions from Mumbai parents
Do you have a centre in Mumbai, Thane or Navi Mumbai?
No. Rupantaram does not run classes inside the city. The programs are residential and are held at Pen and Alibag in Raigad district, the nearest being about 30 km beyond Panvel.
Which centre is nearer to Mumbai?
By road, Pen: roughly 80 km from Mumbai, 75 km from Thane and 55 km from Vashi. Alibag is close by sea: the ferry or Ro-Ro to Mandwa, then a drive to Nagaon.
Do the ferries run all year?
Passenger ferries to Mandwa usually stop during the monsoon months. Check the operator timetable before you plan, or take the road through Pen.
What are the fees?
The 4-day residential program is ₹20,000 at Pen and ₹39,000 at Alibag as published on 14 October 2026, including stay and food.
What age group is this for?
Kids Transform is for ages 6 to 13, Youth Transform for 14 to 19 and Young Adult Transform for 20 to 30. Parenting 360° is for parents.
Are the batches crowded?
A batch is capped at 50 participants, with a team of 10 trained mentors.
Is this the same as spoken English or grooming classes?
No. It is a life skills program: self-confidence, discipline, emotional balance, leadership, communication and career direction, practised through activities.
Which language are the sessions in?
Sessions are run in Marathi and English, so children from Marathi-medium and English-medium schools can both take part.
How are parents involved?
Parents attend a complimentary session and the graduation on Day 4, and receive mentor feedback and a growth summary. Parents can also join the separate one-day Parenting 360° workshop.
Who looks after my child during the stay?
A team of 10 trained mentors guides every activity in a batch of up to 50. Health details you give in the registration form reach the mentors before your child arrives. Ask the mentor on your call about rooms, night supervision and the phone policy for your batch.
